Teaching Muay Thai-Inspired fitness

This post was originally published on this site.

Hi all!

I’m a member of a small gym in a small town, and we’re is losing our muay thai coach. I’m taking over the class (at least for now), but I’m not really qualified. So, we’re basically just trying to keep the group and time slot alive, and get a good workout, but try to keep working on the basics that we know.

I’m looking for any tips you have! Whether it’s content creators to follow, pad or bag routines/drills that are easy for novices to work on together, anything!

I trained for about a year and a half, alternating about 6 weeks consistently (the class is only twice a week, 1hr), and 6 weeks going about 75% of the time. Then I went about a year only going maybe once every month or 2, just when my schedule allowed. I’ve been training BJJ a bit more consistently.

Thanks in advance for any help!
