Quitting Corporate Job to Open up a Muay Thai Gym

I’m currently on the planning phase of opening up a Muay Thai gym.

I work a corporate job now that pays pretty well $150K+ but I have no passion for it.

I saved up about $100K to start the business and I also have a head coach with 20+ years of experience and is still actively fighting (50+ fights).

When I did some rough calculation, it seems like unless I grow the gym really big, I won’t even break 6 figure net.

I’m okay with that and I’m willing to live in a more affordable home.

For any gym owners, how long did it take until you could make living off of gym alone?

Any advice is very welcome as this is a new endeavor for me but something I really want to do.

Location wise, I was thinking of coastal cities where people are more focused on health but then the competition will be tough. Or go to more rural area where there isn’t much Muay Thai representation and start it there.
