I’m quite young (teenager) and very serious about fighting. I am currently going through the toughest times of my life mentally and absolutely NO ONE has noticed in the slightest for the past year, but it’s gotten very bad in the past 2 weeks. I’m great at hiding it. I’ve been training since I was a kid. I’m not outwardly emotional at all.
Today, after my morning classes I sat down to undo my wraps as I usually do near my coach, and my coach randomly said “how are you doing” “no how are you really doing I know when something is up just by looking at you”
I was completely taken aback and shocked so I stuck with the “I’m fine” but he kept pushing and I stuck with just being very fatigued from working and training so much. He gave me some kind words and that was that.
That’s all it took for me to feel a lot better surprisingly, but I’m still shocked at how he picked up on something. It’s insane. I’m telling you absolutely no one else has, including people very close to me. How in the world did he notice when I hide it so well
Sorry probably not the right sub to post this but I thought I’d share, as a kid too I’ve noticed some coaches have an intuition and it’s insane
