How long did it take you to actually relax during hard sparring?

Been training for over a years now. I’m comfortable in controlled sparring but when the pace picks up or I’m going with someone more experienced I still catch myself tensing my shoulders and holding my breath. Way better than when I started but it still happens under pressure.

For those of you who’ve been at it longer, when did this stop being an issue for you?
