Hey so I’m having an issue when sparring that I kind of spaz out when I’m cornered and getting railed with punches and kicks. I try to side step and maneuver an arm out of the way, but it’s super hard because I can’t see with all the punches blocking my view. I’m sure I’m flinching and most of the time, I just try to throw anything to get them to stop. My coach says I’m rushing my hits, but when you’re getting your shit rocked ton of times it’s hard to overcome that reaction.
Is this just a matter of sparring more and getting more comfortable getting hit so I don’t panic? Are there drills I can practice that can make me better at this? My partners getting some good hits on me too that fucking hurt so that’s definitely not helping me get more comfortable lmao.
