Hi, I’m training in a small gym, and I think we’re in a loophole where we found a dead easy strategy that no one know how to counter. Since we’re not that many nor experienced (our coach stopped showing up, she got a severe disease) everyone is developing the same super defensive style, the sparrings get repetitive and honestly not that interesting so here I am asking for help lol. How do you counter people putting their weight on their back foot, that spams low kicks and that teeps whenever you try reach anything else than long range ? I’ve also been told that this was a Yam Sukasen stance. If I don’t win from kicks distance and try to come closer for punches or clinch, they lift the lead leg and throw a teep or a knee. Idk what to do 🙁
