Just saw this tonight. A fighter got knocked out cold in the second round right at the buzzer. He faceplanted and was snoring for a around half a minute.
His corner came in the ring, turned him around and he was lying on his back for a couple of minutes until he regained consciousness. He then gets carried to his corner, gets a few more slaps to wake him up and got another minute or more on the stool. So in total he got about 4,5 mins to recover after getting sparked out cold.
Round 3 starts and it takes him about 30 second to wake up fully and then he starts putting in on the other guy for the next 2 rounds to the point where he almost gets a knockdown. They both decided to take the 5th round off and they danced around for most of it which made his corner not very happy. I think he gave it everything he had considering he got slept few minutes earlier.
You hear these stories happen but to see it live is actually crazy.
