Fairtex BGV1 16oz – too thin for sparring?

I recently bought the Fairtex BGV1 16oz gloves. I haven’t tried them in training yet, but when I put them on, they feel kind of thin.

Right now I’m using a pair of Venum 16oz gloves, and compared to those, the BGV1 feel noticeably smaller and less padded.

For context, I weigh around 100 kg / 220 lbs, so I really want to make sure I’m using gloves that are safe for sparring. I don’t want to hurt anyone unnecessarily.

Is there a better 16oz option from Fairtex, or maybe another brand, that’s more suitable / softer for sparring?
