Does Nak Muay Shot Caller need more visuals or instruction — or is that missing the point?

This post was originally published on this site.

Hey everyone, I’ve been getting some really consistent feedback on my app, Nak Muay Shot Caller — a Muay Thai training app that calls out techniques during your rounds so you can shadowbox or hit the bag like you’ve got a pad holder in your ear.

The most common request so far has been for visuals or demonstrations of the strikes — which makes total sense on paper, but it also feels like it might be drifting away from what the app is meant to be.

From the start, I’ve made it clear that this app assumes you already know the proper form. It’s not meant to teach technique or give feedback — the goal is to keep your eyes up, hands up, and train reaction and flow without staring at a screen.

That said, I get that some kind of onboarding might help new users understand how to get the most out of it.

So I’m torn —
Would adding visuals or instructional clips actually help people use it better, or would it just clutter something that’s meant to be clean and focused?

Would like to hear about it.
