I’m newish to Muay Thai. We learn combos in every class, plus information about what moves we can use to counter an attack.
For the more experienced fighters – in an actual sparring or fight situation, are you actually thinking about the combos (like, “he threw this, so I should respond with this”)? Or does it become muscle memory or a sort of fluency?
How much do you drill the combos, given that we’re always learning new ones?
