Is it ok to tell someone they’re hitting too hard?

I’ve been doing Muay Thai for a little over a month now and am still learning fundamentals. I am a woman and have only been holding for other girls. Yesterday I was the only girl in class and had to hold for a guy who was much stronger than me. He didn’t really hit the center of the pads and often accidentally hit my wrists or knocking the pads out of my hands (I’ve been holding pads really well and the only comments I get are on my round house holds which wasn’t the problem). I could feel the pain building in my wrists but didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be the girl who couldn’t handle some punches. I woke up this morning to bruised wrists and arms (which has not happened before). Is it ok to tell someone that they’re hitting a little too hard? I don’t want to be rude or to interfere with another persons training.
