I’ve been doing Muay Thai for almost 2 years now and just finished my 2nd competition which means it’s the perfect time to implement new techniques into my arsenal. One thing that I’ve noticed, throughout all my sparring sessions and both my competitions- I don’t think I’ve ever thrown a teep. I’m a shorter fighter who uses boxing combination to set up my kicks, but I think it would be great to start using teeps for distance management. I have no problem throwing them on the bag or pads, and no problem defending them but I always seem to forget about them when I’m actually on the mat/ring. So my question is how should I go about using my teeps in sparring. Or should I just forget about them all together because of my style and build?
