Hey all, I just got a new pair of Booster shin guards and I’m trying to break them in at home. I’ve been wearing them with socks and walking around the house to soften them up before training.
Problem is, the black inner lining keeps chafing the top of my toe. I figured maybe wet socks could help soften the material faster, but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea or if it’ll just make the chafing worse.
Has anyone dealt with this? Any tips for breaking in shin guards comfortably and avoiding hotspots on the toes? Should I just stick with dry socks and give it time, or is there a better trick (heat, tape, Vaseline, etc.)?
